Our 2-hour English-language* interactive guided walk connects you with the migration heritage of Utrecht’s Lombok neighbourhood. Each stop opens up a new question about how migration is lived and understood in the city.

Free monthly public walks
Join our next free tour on the first Saturday of the month: 4 July 2026
We offer one free guided walk each month, supported by the Municipality of Utrecht. These walks usually take place on the first Saturday of the month and are open to Utrecht residents who would like to join a mixed group of participants.
The walks are a great opportunity to get to know people from different backgrounds living in the city.
Good to know
Timing and duration: The walk runs from 10:00-12:00 and lasts approximately 2 hours. Please arrive at 09:50.
Starting point: After registering, you will receive an email with the exact starting location in Lombok, Utrecht.
How to prepare: The route is approximately 2 km. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, bring water, and dress appropriately for the weather. There are water refill points and accessible toilets along the route. The route is wheelchair-friendly.
Cancellations: Please contact us at migrantourutrecht@devoorkamer.org no later than 24h before the start of the tour. Many thanks for your consideration!

How do I book private group walks and experiences?
For private group walk and experience bookings, contact us at migrantourutrecht@devoorkamer.org. We will get back to you within 48 hours to initiate the booking process. In your email, please indicate the following:
Your name and full contact details
Desired dates and time slots
Estimated number of participants
A brief description of who will be participating (age group, background, interests, objectives, etc.)
If you would like a workshop and/or catering in addition to the walk
What does it cost?
Pricing for our private group walks
As part of our commitment to equity and accessibility, Migrantour Utrecht uses a sliding scale fee model for our tours and workshops. We have 3 pricing tiers to accommodate a variety of budgets, recognising that financial wealth is a resource that historically has not been equitably distributed.
Organisations, institutions and individuals who have access to more resources pay higher rates, allowing us to offer lower rates to lower-resourced organizations and individuals. The three different pricing tiers do not correspond to any differences in your group’s tour or workshop experience.
Solidarity rate - 140 euros per tour (max. 12 people per tour)
Intended for organizations and individuals with highest need and less access to institutional, social, and cultural resources
Smaller and lower-resourced organizations, grassroots and newly established organizations, organizations led by members of the communities they serve and impact, and organizations whose work is focused on disrupting the status quo
Sustain rate - 220 euros per tour (max. 12 people per tour)
Our base rate - paying at this rate provides full compensation for our work, including the time, labour and expertise involved in developing and providing our offerings
Educational institutions such as schools and universities
Organizations that consider themselves to be somewhere in between those in the Solidarity and Pay-It-Forward categories
Pay-It-Forward rate - 300 euros per tour (max. 12 people per tour)
Intended for organizations and individuals with more access to resources. Payments at this rate allow us to offer lower rates to those with less access to resources
Large and established institutions Organizations who receive substantial funding from large established foundations, legacy funding entities, or government resources For-profit companies or corporations

To secure your tour and experience booking, please submit your request at least one month in advance.
Please note that a 50% fee will be charged for cancellations made within 48 hours of the tour and experience date.
Our workshops are currently offered at our host organisation, De Voorkamer. As the space may already be booked on your preferred date, we kindly ask you to provide us with alternative date options.
